Editorial policy
How we research, write and correct every guide on this site.
Sources
We rely on primary sources first: Tether’s own pages, public block explorers, official notices from exchanges and wallets, laws and government reporting services. We use security research and news reports when they document a specific case, and we link to them. We do not publish a figure without a source.
Contract addresses
Official contract addresses are checked against Tether’s supported protocols page and the explorer for each network before a guide is published or updated. The check date is shown on the page.
Describing scams
- We explain how a scam works so readers can recognize it, never how to carry it out.
- We never link to seller sites, bots or downloads. Domains are written so they cannot be clicked.
- We describe patterns rather than accusing named people, unless a court, regulator or platform has already done so publicly.
- Sample screens, chats and transactions are marked as samples.
Independence
We take no payment, commission or sponsorship from exchanges, wallets, recovery firms or anyone else.
Corrections
